Pick 1, 2 or 3 cards — create a melody with these notes
Pick a card: For non readers: teacher can point to the key and student can name a song that has this note in it
Pick a Card, name a song that has this note in first position
Pick a card: Name the note and play– how long does it take to get through the deck? Can be a group effort where you play for Best Time– helping each other– or in teams, competing or against oneself, going for a better score each week
Pick a card– write the note on the staff– any octave or you could specify
Arrange the cards with sharps or flats in the order they occur
If students buy the cards: give them each card as they master the major chord
Eventually they get all the cards–maybe I’d let the coach ” own” the cards and student has to ” earn” them.

Use them when teaching scales……lay out the seven letters of the musical alphabet to convey that each scale must contain one each of these notes. Then add appropriate notes per specific scale….eg for the key of F you would lay down the Bb card. For the key of Bb you would add Bb and Eb. It becomes a visual representation of the notes within each scale and can also be physically manipulated by the student.

Here are the ideas that were on the advertising video by Jennifer Lee and would be worth including in a compiled list. Thanks for doing that Kylie.
Note identification
Select a card and then find that note on the piano or keypad
Major triads and other chords (m, M, dim, sus, 7th etc)
Round robin with shared class. Student says the shape and then plays the chord
Students can purchase their own cards and this allows them to practice the chords in a random order
Finding I IV V
Select a card and find I IV V for that key.
Have students pick a card at the end of class and that is their key for the week to play a few selected songs (Eg. Amazing Grace, Jackson Blues, Happy Birthday).
Can also be used for inversions, chord voicing, chord progressions, scale patterns, arpeggios
Composition projects
Students pulls 3-4 cards from the pack and uses them to create a melodic idea or chord progression.
