Headphones for Online Lessons

I’ve been teaching a few students online for 4 yrs, without headphones and decided yesterday to give it a try, just using some simple ear buds with a built in mic on the cord. What a difference for both me and my families! chances are you have something around your house that you might be able to use, and I did notice I did not have to speak as loudly which makes a big diff when I have 3-4 hours of back to back lessons.
The mic is part of the cord so it picks up both my voice and piano just fine. I didn’t think I would be adding headphones to my set up but for me, definitely worth it and advantageous. Also any of my family members hear only me.

Will the parent/coach be able to hear if the student uses earbuds?

I only had one parent and student who used headphones and they both had a pair.

I’m going to get around to split headphones at some stage so 2 or more can get a good sound at the student end.
