Does anyone know if there is any software that could transpose a piece of music and also be able to lay out the notes on the stave when the music is played?

I have Print Music by Finale that I use all the time. My daughter told me that there is also a free program on line. Print Music is under $100 and will write the notes however you want them. Like a lead sheet, a grand staff, ensemble, it also will insert chords and lyrics. Very user friendly.

I use Digital Performer as my digital audio workstation (DAW) software, and notation isn’t what it’s mostly known/needed/used for but even it can do this. Just about any modern music software that uses notation at all is likely to be able to do this.

MuseScore is free, and I believe it transposes.
