i have made up a haphazard list of playlist practice ideas to give students ideas for different ways of going through their songs to keep them alive. Some of the ideas I have gotten from other teachers.
i would like to get even more ideas.

Here’s an idea in which I used Laurie Richards’ Tic-Tac-Toe concept. I have a set of twin girls who enjoy playing a game called “Bugaboo”. Girl A begins a piece. If she gets through it without any “bugaboos” (mistakes) she gets a turn at Tic-Tac-Toe. If she makes a mistake, Girl B continues to the end or until she makes a mistake. If Girl B gets to the end without a “bugaboo”, she gets a turn at Tic-Tac-Toe. If Girl B makes a mistake, Girl A continues, etc. This is something they do with their mom at home, not so much in the lesson. These girls have a really short attention span, so this has helped make the practice time more productive & a lot more fun for mom.
