I’ve been recording students with my iPad and because I am pretty new in this matter, I’d need a little help. I have to take the sound out and send it the to Simply Music (my first 5 Foundation’s 1 students) as a MP3 file. Does anybody know how could I do that?

I don’t have an i-Pad, but here’s how it works on a Mac when you’re recording in Garage Band:
There’s a “Share” menu in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Pull that down and click on “Send Song to iTunes”. If you click on that, a box will come up in which you name the album, artist, etc. Then click “Share” in the lower right corner of that box.
When that process is complete, iTunes will open, and the track will begin playing. (Or maybe, if your “preferences” are different than mine, you’ll have to open iTunes and go to the new track yourself.) In iTunes, you can pull down the “Advanced” menu, and click on “Create MP3 Version”. This process should only take 10 seconds or so. A new track will appear in your iTunes, just below the original one, with the same name. Drag that version out to your desktop, and from there you can drag it into an e-mail message. (For some reason, it doesn’t work – on my computer, at least – to drag it directly from iTunes into an e-msg.)

Have you tried using the Voice memo app for recording? Then you just have audio files that you can email to another computer, transfer them to a playlist in iTunes and burn them on CD. I know that doesn’t help for your current question, but may be a lot simpler for the future.

Open iTunes and select your iPad then select iTalk or whatever you are using.
It will show you the files.
You can drag them where you want them to your desk top or to iTunes

I just submitted my first five and made it as a movie. I used iMovie and the videos I recorded with my iPhone. I strung them all together. Then I burned a DVD CDR (it has to be a DVD one) and sent it.
