Referral Incentives

I’m so thankful I found Simply Music. I’m a rather shy person, and not one to go “drum up business” very comfortably. Fortunately, I haven’t had to. I agreed to teach a free class at our homeschool group, and enrolled several new students just on telling the group about the class I would be teaching. I haven’t even started the class yet, but doubled my enrollments. (I only had a few to start with.) I was really surprised about that, as that wasn’t my intention. I was sincerely trying to give my part in the group, for free.
The other plus I have is, I offer one free month for every new student that enrolls as a result of word of mouth referrals. One of my students’ moms is a nail tech. She has a large audience, and has told lots of people in town about me. She has already sent one student to me, and a couple more are scheduled for an FSS. I’m expecting my schedule to be at the max soon, as a result of just these two sources of referrals, the homeschool group and a free month for every referral that enrolls.

I tell folks that the referral must give me the name of the person referring before they sign on the dotted line–just to be clear!
I have done a similar deal (half off the referee’s tuition the month following the sign-up of the new student) for some time and been happy with the results. It’s always fun for the student referring (if they are one) to suddenly have 1/2 their next month’s tuition in hand.
Congrats on your growth as well as your new Simply Music journey and Welcome aboard!!

I have had good luck giving free materials to referring families. It’s less expensive for me, but families LOVE not having to pay for their next Foundation Level!
