I would like to have the written sheet music for my student’s compositions. A few are asking how I or they can do this.
I need something VERY simple and reasonably priced… I used Finale in college and it was challenging and very time consuming.

Forte has a free program that can be downloaded. I actually used it to input a hymn that was in the wrong key. It played it back to me and then allowed me to transpose it. Not having had any experience with this kind of stuff, I was amazed!

Sibelius is a very user-friendly program. While their primary software product “for professionals” is quite expensive, they also have a version called “Sibelius 5 First” which is less costly.
