Advertising- A Great Start

Hi all,
I wanted to tell everyone, especially new teachers, my experience, for encouragement, in case you need some. I started teaching this method last October, not even a year yet. Due to small ads in school papers and local paper, students trickled in one by one. This was fine, but I knew that by this September I wanted to do SM on a full time basis. I had 18 students at my high-point before, and all in private lessons.
Three weeks ago, I placed a flyer in a local paper that goes to 30,000 homes and the following week I put a 1/2 page ad in same paper that went to 60,000 homes. I’ve been doing lots of FISs, improving with each one! As of today, I now have 55 students, (five groups and some private), and another 1/2 page ad comes out this week. Then I think I’ll have to stop! So with three ads I’m full up.
The cost of getting my most recent 37 students was $2,000. I had to borrow the money, but it was worth it as I’ll be able to pay it back right away. If my kids were grown I’d open a storefront and hire teachers and have 500 students a week! People just love SM when they hear about it! The woman at the paper who does my ads is coming to an FIS, and might even become a teacher trainee. I also recently got my sister and my kids’ former piano teacher to do the training. It’s just so much fun to share this! Hope everyone is well and busy as they want to be.
Regards,
