I also work in 3 different locations and found myself searching for the right materials. Sometimes I would leave one book at home or misplace one. (I always carry a copy of SHM notes and music books wherever I teach.)
So, I have come up with a system that works really well for me. It isn’t a solution for the SHM kits, but it solves my need for the organisation of my materials.
I have sliced all my books down the spine and placed all note books levels1-4 into a display folder (clear insert pages). All my Music books levels 1-4 into another folder. Level 5 and up I have begun in a separate folder. My Accompaniments and Music for Christmas and the New Year, I have put into a separate folder. So far I have kept my Reading Rhythms and Reading Notes Books separate because I write in those books and so putting them into a folder wouldn’t work. This means that I carry around a couple of Display folders instead of 14 or 15 booklets.
I’ve been pleased with the way this has helped me order my world.
