Writing an exit email to departing students

Who has wording for an exit email? They’re choosing other activities over piano and I’m fine with the, so I just want to say a nice goodbye.
Just putting the question out there actually helped me write it. I kept it simple. This is what I said: “I respect your decision to choose your other activities over piano. No one can do it all! I have enjoyed working with you and your girls and will miss having you be a part of the piano studio”.
Leeanne I., Australia
I would add something to the effect of “if you decide that you want to return to piano, know that my door is always open for you to return”.

This family has chosen to leave which you cannot do much about, but may refer others to you so you want to leave on good terms. You could ask for some feedback such as “I always strive to improve not only my teaching, but how the studio is run. What are some positives that you think have worked well? Are there areas that you feel need improvement?” Above all, make sure you say thank you for the time together.
Unmani U., Australia
And “thanks for letting me know your decision in a timely, clear manner”. I would put that first.
