Permission to print lyrics to SM songs

For a piano party or recital, do we have permission to print lyrics to SM foundation songs? I know the kids know the lyrics, but some non-coach parents, grandparents, and friends may not. I would love for people to sing along with accompaniment pieces especially.

Most are traditional lyrics so no copyright on them.

My impression is the opposite… while some of the songs and chord changes are traditional, most of the lyrics are original, written by Neil Moore. That said, I would think it falls under fair use.

Amazing grace, Auld Lang Syne, and Danny Boy make up the bulk of the accompaniment program so you are free to copy and paste and print those lyrics in your program. On My Way Back is more of a performance piece than a singalong.

Ah I see where you’re coming from, Felicity. Joy asked about Foundation songs. I have my studio stand up and sing along with Dreams Come True, Night Storm, etc at performances.

Honey Dew is an accompaniment song in F1. Most of my students are in F1 or F2, so we will have several repeats of Honey Dew, Night Storm, Amazing Grace.
Neil Moore
Good question. Maureen is right. Fair Use applies here.
