Music Book to Understand Dotted Notes

Quite relieved after todays lesson with my 7 year old. It is my first time ever to take someone that young through RR. She was previously doing well till we started dotted notes last week and she found them really confusing though the RR material presents it well. But today I took another approach and had her play Sleeping, and then I showed her the dotted half notes in the score for the LH and she saw that she plays three quarter notes in the RH (same length as half plus quarter) while LH plays the dotted half. The light bulb went on and she got it and similarly was able to understand dotted quarters. I love how we can use the score of previously learned songs to help with understanding the rhythm concepts!
