Here is something that every one of my students have above their pianos. Obviously if your students are in the lower foundations, intervals, counting would not be needed but I find it a great tool to help remind them what boxes need to be ticked. I hope it helps you
- Did I practice separate hands
- Did I use my voice
- Did I write out my counting
- Did I write out and tap out how my hands come together
- Did I write out my intervals
- Did I play along with my audio
- Did I watch the videos
- Did I practice the song enough ex. 10 mins a day

Scott, what do you mean by “write out my counting”?
Scott. J., Australia
Ian B. I get my students in the development levels to write out their counting above the music and play and say. This after they have finished reading rhythm, read and play 1 and 2

Can you say more about writing out the intervals? Do you have them do that with every melodic interval?
Scott. J., Australia
They write out the whole song yes and with the Harmonic intervals they write out the top note
